Welcome! The Gardens and Gardening department of our virtual bookshop is planned eventually to show books on gardens, gardening and gardeners - three closely related but distinct categories. The first two of these are now live.

On this page is a substantial selection of books on great gardens, and the varying characteristics of gardens from country to country, organised geographically. We hope eventually to have much more on gardens around the regions of England, emphasising especially those which are open for viewing by the many thousands of visitors both domestic and from overseas who enjoy "garden tourism".
